We would like to thank all collectors all over the globe who agreed to send in pictures of their Swatches (following the instructions for a uniform look!) or who have agreed to let us have an insight into their magnificent collections, take pictures of selected pieces and publish them on this site.
During the peak of Swatch-Collecting there was an ultimately exclusive international Collectors club named “Leading Collector’s Club” where only the 20 greatest collectors worldwide were admitted following extremely strict admission criteria. The headquarters of this club was situated in Luzern (Switzerland), the center of the Swatch-Collectors world at that time and site of the most exciting Swatch-auctions.
Some of the members of that club were: Daniel J. Komar, Giorgio Sala, Marco Donnini, Robert Casagrande, Peter E. Blum and others.
Acknowledging their immense knowledge about Swatch, Daniel J. Komar and Giorgio Sala have been unanimously elected by the other 18 members as the two world’s leading experts about Swatch history, evolution and engineering.
Thus, this site would not be possible without the incredible work of these two major Swatch experts. A part of having extremely impressive collections with all types of Swatches known, including several hundreds of prototypes, they also have influenced and defined the incredible world of Swatch-Collecting and as a reaction to this, the creation of Swatches itself.
